The Society is sad to learn of the passing of Roy Barney at his home on Friday 1st August. Roy was  59, a member for several years in the late 90's, and a long time friend of David Littlechild. Our condolences go to his wife and family.

13th June 2007 Committee Meeting 7th June 2007 With effect from the next meeting on 12th July, the Committee have decided to increase the maximum handicaps for Gentlemen to 24 and for Ladies to 32.

28th June 2008 Notes from the Secretary:  All Entry Forms for our meetings are now sent out by e-mail so it is vital that I have your current e-mail address. Several have recently been returned as 'undeliverable' so if you change your e-mail please let me know. Similarly, a dozen or so of our members do not have an e-mail address registered at all and so the only contact they receive is the Annual Report and Accounts which is sent by post once a year.   We also have 3 members who still pay their subscription but have not advised of their new postal (or e-mail) address! We know who they are but cannot contact them ....   We also receive payment from Standing Orders for 2 persons who we cannot identify. Our bank will not co-operate in finding these 'phantom contributors' citing Data Protection laws, so I list them below in the (perhaps optimistic) hope they can be traced:   P704002407 ..................   paid 2006,2007,2008 ROGERS & PEARCE LTD ....   paid 2003,4,5,6,7,8   While the Society is grateful for this additional income we would like to be able to contact the above to suggest they cancel their Standing Order!   Richard Johns (rickety2@hotmail.com)
